Jan 15, 2023: “Why are classic cross country skiers charged the same rates as skate skiers? Many days only skate skiing is groomed, with no tracks set for classic skiers.
Some reasons given by the alpine resort for not grooming are not acceptable, such as "our track setter is broken" - This same excuse has been used periodically for at least the past 3 winters.
This mountain needs to deliver equal opportunities for classic and skate, or reduce the classic prices. Other BC cross country areas haven't got this constant grooming problem. Why Mt. Washington?” 0
Jan 5, 2023: “Text: Tubing has gone all down hill.
Used to be long, steeper, and NOT by reservation a day or two ahead (!!)
Hut at the bottom had hot refreshments and a big fire pit. Made great memories there. There were be a camaraderie with other patrons, great time for all.
Now it’s much smaller and none of the other amenities. The moving conveyor belt to bring you back to the start point is the only good thing.
A joke otherwise. $20 PER hour, used to be a day-pass or a portion of a day; afternoon/morning or several hours etc. - you’d get tired and only go for a fews hours at most anyway, but now it’s regimented and small
Don’t waste your time. We (8 of us) will never go again.” 1
Jan 1, 2023: “Mount Washington Alpine Resort offers a wide variety of attractions an if your looking for a great place to do some of these things, this is the place.
For experienced skiers/snowboarders, this mountain offers five different chair lifts all with different skill levels of runs.
For more inexperienced users, this resort offers lessons and lots of smaller runs with "magic carpets" which are the easier and less dangerous version of chair lifts.
If you feel you need to little break then the lodge offers a restaurant often with live music and a caf/grill.
If you are not into the attractions mentioned so far, then you can also go tubing which is great for all ages and very fun.
In the summer, you can also try their ziplining course, mountain biking and walk paradise meadows.
I would suggest to go when there is fresh snow because if this is not the case, the mountain can get very icy. I would also suggest not to get a full day pass especially when it is cold up there because it is easy to become freezing. Another suggestion is to arrive there at least 45 minutes early because it can get very busy which gives you less time for having fun.
Overall, I think that this is a solid place to go if you are interested in these activities.” 2
