Alaska View Lodge is located along the north coast of Graham Island, between the town of Masset and Tow Hill. The lodge sits right on the beach overlooking Dixon Entrance and the distant Alaskan Islands. Surrounding us to the south is the ancient rain forest of Naikoon Provincial Park. Located 25 minutes from Massett, drive down the well maintained gravel road which is flanked with ancient rainforests. The longhouses are nestled within beautiful Naikoon Provincial Park boundaries in an ancient village on Northern Haida Gwaii. The seven Haida longhouses and the immense Group Longhouse offer comfortable and cozy accommodations. This is truly a “GLAMPING” experience as Hiellen Village Longhouses is off the grid and the amenities are very basic. Our guest house is located in Rose Harbour, Kunghit Island; very deep within Gwaii Haanas National Park, Marine Reserve and Haida Heritage Site. Only accessible by floatplane! We provide 3 meals a day, offering authentic Thai cuisine being our specialty. We cook mostly with organic food and also from our large garden. Our guesthouse is rustic but comfortable with wood heat, communal shower and composting toilet. We don’t have more then 8 guests at the time unless your group is more then 8! Our tour packages include accommodation, meals, and transportation by floatplane to/from Queen Charlotte Village. We also offer optional guided boat tours and sea kayak rentals in the area surrounding our location. Recommended sites to visit by boat are Ninstints/Skanggwaii (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Cape St-James, Rose Inlet, and many others nearby locations. We speak English, French, Thai and Lao.
